Once again the marathon that is Britcon is all over. This year 12 players battled hard to take the prizes and the competition was as close as ever. Note able events included Mark Hargrave's Warlock killing itself in some dangerous ruins and Gavin McKenzie losing both his landing craft to critical after taking one point of damage - in the same turn!
Once the dust settled Chris Hayes had managed to take the top spot, even with the curse of the yellow jersey. Steve Gullick took his Blood Angels to second place and Joe Jephson secured third and most sporting in all Sci Fi/Fantasy gaming.
The Championship has a new leader with Joe taking a 7 point lead (Joe finished 4th using the championship count back system) and Steve has also closed the gap.
Its about to become a busy time for tournaments. ITB is only 5 weeks away so get your entries in as soon as you can. Following that we have Stockport Stockade. As ever more details can be found on the calendar.
There were a couple of errors in the Chaos codex and we decided it best to fix them up now. So there is a new version of the codex in the army list section that has upgrad entries for Chaos Dreadnoughts for both Black Legion and World Eaters that had gone missing. Also the speed of the Emperors Children bikers has been corrected to 35cm! Apologies for the mistakes in the initial release .
After 6 months of development Epic-UK are happy to announce the release of their next codex, Chaos Space Marines, and its a bit of a monster!
Easily the largest book we have produced so far.
In this codex you will find an amended Black Legion list and lists for cult marine followers of the major powers of Chaos, Death Guard, Emperors Children, Thousand Sons and World eaters. This new codex now replaces the original Black Legion list at all Epic-UK events, and those that chose to use our lists. The first such event will be Britcon 2010. The codex can be 0downloaded from Epic-UK Armylists.
No quick reference sheets today, they are in the final stages of editing and should appear within the next two weeks.
