What is Epic Armageddon?

EPIC Armageddon is a 6mm Sci-fi tabletop wargame developed by Games Workshop. Its based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe, also developed by Games Workshop (guess you worked that out!). For more information please visit the Games Workshop website.

Full Scale Assault tickets on sale

Its £7 for the one day event with three games (3,000 points) but no food (advise you to bring some with you; there are shops around the area but a little distance away). EPIC UK is also planning on holding another EPIC gaming day – 28th March 2009. This isn't a tournament; we book the hall all day and you can play any game of EPIC, any size! Last year we had 2x 10,000pt battles! There is even a good chance that a re-run of the "A bridge too far..." scenario may be attempted. It costs £4 to attend the gaming day and this can be booked on our website just like the tournament.

Batrep - "A Bridge too far..."

Well its been a while since the last one so we at Epic-UK wanted to make this one, er, an Epic!
Having just finished off the Guard codex and the Ork codex a few months ago it seemed apt to use both of these lists. Then as we thought about it the idea of creating a scenario based on the WWII Operation Market Garden occured to us all. So a scenario was quickly put together and 7 avid Epic gamers got togehter at Warhammer World to do battle. With an Imperial Guard column racing to exploit brigdeheads siezed by a lightning Marine drop could the Orks hold the line, or as in the real operation, would this be a bridge to far?

Codex Imperial Guard

Yes indeedy the EPIC UK Imperial Guard army book has been released, and what a book it is! Not only has EPIC UK updated the Steel Legion and Baran Siegemaster army lists, but we've also added two new armies. Firstly the Ulani; an armoured division featuring as many Leman Russ variants as we could get our hands on. Secondly the Vanaheim Air Cavalry; a whole army consisting of mobile Imperial Guard troops in Vultures, Valkyries and the new Vendettas.
